Principal Duties:
• Assists in evaluating scientific, basic sciences, and clinical research applications received from KAIMRC staff members and improves the quality of research proposals prior to their submission to the research council for review.
• Manages all medical and Research databases and ensure patient privacy upon research usage.
• Supports the Department Head in the progressive growth of epidemiology and Public Health Research and assist in submitting proposals for intramural/ extramural funding to meet the departmental objectives.
• Assists the Department Head in long-range planning of research activities at KAIMRC.
• Assists in the development of the Research Center reports.
• Conducts statistical and clinical support for KAIMRC during the course and workshop, i.e., Clinical Research Course and workshops on research methodology and statistical analysis.
• Participates in the education of Physicians, Nursing staff, laboratory research staff, and others regarding Biostatistics, public health, epidemiology, or any other area of expertise.
• Supervises and validates collecting data—through observations, interviews, and surveys, and by using samples of blood or other bodily fluids to find the causes of diseases or other health problems.
• Manages and evaluates public health programs by panning initiation, monitoring their progress, analyzing data to improve public health outcomes.
• Performs other job related duties as required.
