Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor degree in Electronic Engineering-Essential. Work Experience: Seven (7) years of experience in maintenance - Essential English Language skills: IELTS: 6, STEP: 75, or TOEFL: (PBT: 500) (IBT: 61)

Job Responsibilities

Principal Duties:  Manages maintenance issues and deals with staff, end users and all levels of management, daily and as needed and reviews/monitors daily assigned work orders. Carries out functional planning and scheduling and provides regular updates and reports work status.  Responds to Help Desk service requests related to assigned areas and to emergency situations (on call) in a timely professional manner and analyzes problems quickly and develops corrective actions.  Prepares cost estimates, timelines and downtime estimates for assigned work. Ensures cost effective employee performance in the work completed.  Formulates and recommends incorporation of updates to existing safety procedures in the area of responsibility and ensures compliance with all site and fire safety procedures and administrative policies and procedures as laid down by applicable standards.  Provides reports and data relevant to safety & energy saving and participate on the job training as required.  Defines, establishes and operates a comprehensive Planned Preventive Maintenance System (PPM) that will identify all required PPM work in the area of responsibility.  Reviews and recommends improvement to preventive maintenance programs (PPM) to the Deputy Director, U&M by evaluating maintenance methods and implements approved improvements  Oversees operation of a quality control system and operation of Building Management System (BMS) within the area of specialty.  Ensures completeness of all records and updates drawings, specifications, and other documents for the campus’ buildings, equipment and systems in coordination with the Technical Library.  Supervises new projects for testing and commissioning systems.  Performs other job related duties as required.
