Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor Degree in Medical Technology/Science or related field or equivalent - E Work Experience: Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a major research facility - E English Language Skills: Level I IELTS: 6, STEP: 75, or TOEFL: (PBT: 500) (IBT: 61)

Job Responsibilities

1.Preform the day-to-day bench duties and act as a leader of a workgroup within the section. 2. Assist the Supervisor, Research Laboratory with the staff scheduling; supervise the work and performance of technical personnel in the assigned research laboratory. 3. Assist the principal investigator with the data collection and analysis for research purposes. 4.Ensure that materials, reagents and supplies are available and utilized within research standard techniques. 5.Assist Supervisor, Research Laboratory in generating, maintaining and updating the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS) of the section. 6.Responsible for the Research Laboratory Technologists lI and other research technicians working in the assigned research laboratory. 7. Monitor reagents, equipment and preventive maintenance and troubleshoot instrument malfunctions. 8. Ensure that all documentation of research quality management activities is completed properly. 9. Assist the Supervisor, Research Laboratory in the evaluation of staff within the assigned section. 10. Analyze the Research laboratory computer applications managing the data. 11. Assist Supervisor, Research Laboratory in evaluating and maintaining the equipment; keep up-to-date information on the development of Research Lab Technologists II. 12. Update new research methodologies. 13. Identify technical, instrumental and/or physiological causes of the unexpected search laboratory test results. 14. Perform duties in compliance with KAIMRC policies and safety standards. 15. Perform duties in accordance with Joint Commission of International Accreditation (JCIA) College of American Pathology (CAP), Accreditation of Cellular Therapy (FACT); Joint Commission for the Accreditation of Healthcare Organization (JCAHO); Centers for Disease Control (CDC); National Institutes of Health (NIH); World Health Organization (WHO); and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). 16.
