Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor degree in engineering – Essential. Certification from R.I.C.S (Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors) - Preferred. Work Experience: Five (5) years of experience in preparing BOQ for multi engineering disciplines to include use of 2D-CAD, FIDC/ and ICE. - Essential. English Language Level: STEP: 75%, OR IELTS: 6, OR TOEFL: (PBT: 500) (IBT: 61) - Essential.

Job Responsibilities

- Establishes a computer database system for quantity surveying and cost estimates. - Prepares and produces tender and contract documents including bills of quantities (BOQ), as general requirements and standard preambles for all KSAU-HS projects. - Assists in establishing the client's requirements including feasibility studies. - Liaises with Design Engineers, Facilities Engineers and construction Foremen on site survey where required. - Undertakes feasibility studies and submits cost estimates and cost analysis of materials, labor and time for KSAU-HS projects including repair and maintenance. - Carries out all re-measurement works necessary to ensure completion of all construction works in agreement to the original bill of quantities for KSAU-HS projects. - Monitors each stage of construction, repair or maintenance to make sure that costs are in line with forecasts. - Participates in risk and value management, and cost control as part of the Quality Management Plan. - Advises the Director, Technical Affairs of work status, workload, problems and progress as related to work assignments as well as providing detailed written progress reports. - Acts as Person Technically Responsible (PTR) when designated, for an approved sub-contracted project.
