Main Areas of Responsibility: 1. Provide assistance in solving supply problems by giving information on the availability of the items needed and offer substitutes as required and assist in identifying items carried in stock inventory. 2. Prepare product evaluation for new substitute product and sent it to end user for review/approval. 3. Maintain liaison with expeditors and buyers to assure required delivery dates and other purchase specifications are being understood in order to assist in a smooth and efficient purchase system of inventory items. 4. Solicit availability of supplies from other region and hospitals for emergency/urgent supply requirements. 5. Plan and generate stock requisitions of all cost centers assigned to ensure availability of stock items required for the smooth operation of the center. 6. Develop forecast methodologies and practice consistent with efficient planning management practices. 7. Check if any or all of the items requested on Special Purchase Requisition (SPR) are available on stock. 8. Assist in the selection of products to be purchased on contract basis for 3 years with close coordination with the end user. 9. Review items withe expiry dates and prepare appropriate action, as required. I0. Ensure that all Material requests are proceed/approved in a timely manner to avoid disruption of operation. 11. Perform other job related duties as assigned.
