Education: Diploma in Dental Assistance or Certification in Dental Assistance Program - Essential Work Experience: One (1) Year of experience in Dental Assistance – Preferred Other Requirements: Saudi Commission for Health Specialties Registration - Essential English Language skills: IELTS: 5, STEP: 75, or TOEFL: (PBT: 466) (IBT: 51)

Job Responsibilities

• Anticipates the dentist's needs, and practice four-handed dentistry to provide efficient operative procedures for the patient or a dental surgical operating team. • Assists a dentist engaged in diagnostic, operative, surgical, periodontal, preventive, orthodontic, prosthodontic, endodontic or endodontic procedures during examination and treatment of patients. • Prepares and mix various materials for use of the dentist during patient treatment, assuring proper timing, contamination control, and measurement. • Performs clinical functions, such as sit the patient, adjusting the chair to proper position; drape the patient with bib, sterilizing and disinfecting instruments as required, provide a clean cup, position instruments to the standard position, sets up or checks pre-prepared operative trays and providing post-operative instructions prescribed by the dentist. • Reviews patient's medical history and alert the dentist to significant history problems. Chart findings of the patient’s oral conditions and record the treatment in the patient’s permanent chart. • performs various dental procedures on patients under the supervision of the dentist, such as preparation of the anesthetic syringe with proper needle and anesthetic carpel, placement and removal of the rubber dam, placement of temporary restorations, polishing of restorations, placement and removal of periodontal dressing, taking alginate impressions for study models, removal of surgical sutures, and removal of excess cement following crown and/or bridge cementation. • Maintains and clean all dental equipment keep all work areas clean and tidy. Clean dental operatory and do basic maintenance of the dental unit equipment, chair, hand pieces, vacudent, including the disassembly, lubrication and the changing of filters. maintains supply order, applicable records, and others as requested by the dentist. • Performs other job-related duties as required.
