Job Requirements

English Language skills: IELTS: 6, STEP: 75, or TOEFL: (PBT: 500) (IBT: 61) Education: Diploma in Electronics or Broadcast Technology or related field. Work Experience: 5 (five) years working experience in operating, maintaining and repairing broadcasting equipment system.

Job Responsibilities

1. Sets up and operates audio equipment to regulate the volume and sound quality during film and video broadcasts. Monitors strength, clarity, and reliability of ingoing and outgoing signals, and adjust equipment as necessary to maintain quality broadcasts. 2. Regulates the fidelity, brightness, and contract of video transmissions, using video console control panels. 3. Observes monitors and converses with personnel to determine audio and video levels and to ascertain that programs are airing. 4. Previews scheduled programs to ensure that signals are functioning and programs are ready for transmission. Selects sources from which programming will be received, or through which programming will be transmitted. 5. Reports equipment problems, ensures that repairs are made, and makes emergency repairs to equipment when necessary and possible. 6. Records sound onto tape or film for radio or television, checking its quality and making adjustments where necessary. 7. Aligns antennae with receiving dishes to obtain the clearest signal for transmission of broadcasts from field locations. 8. Operates television and/or video cameras to shoot a wide range of material such as studio programs, training sessions, and events. Adjust positions and controls of cameras, printers, and related equipment to change focus, exposure, and lighting. 9. Recommends new and existing equipment and systems to ensure effective and quality support for communicating informational and educational media. Assists with providing technical expertise to contractors, media staff and hospital staff regarding equipment purchases and installation.
