English Language skills: IELTS: 6, STEP: 75, or TOEFL: (PBT: 500) (IBT: 61) - Essential Education: Doctorate Degree (PhD) in Infectious Disease (Virology, Microbiology, BSL3) Medical Chemistry, Genome research - Essential Post-doctoral degree in Health Sciences or related discipline - Preferred Work Experience: Minimum of twelve (12) years of experience in a well recognized research laboratory, coupled with two (2) years supervisory experience in a senior management position - Essential Undertaken and contributed to sufficient number of literature as a principal investigator and as co-investigator of research work to have been published within international journals within the last two years - Essential Recommendation from Credentialing Committee of KAlMRC or Executive Director of KAIMRC

Job Responsibilities

1. Provide leadership, guidance, support and supervision to all KAIMRC staff, and take responsibility for the day-today operation (including all employee-related matters) ensuring compliance with KAIMRC, NGHA policies and procedures. 2. Plan, coordinate and administer policies and procedures as directed by Health Affairs and in conjunction with all aspects of KAIMRC activities. 3. Plan, develop and implement short and long term strategic goals for the development and direction of the department in cooperation with the Executive Committee. 4. Liaise with other functional I departmental management to ensure that they understand all aspects and needs, and they are fully informed of objectives, purposes and achievements. 5. Coordinate the activities of the department as they relate to the activities of other divisions and departments in the hospital. 6. Carry-out the necessary functional planning, budgeting and scheduling for the department and maintain records and 1 monitor accordingly. 7. Conduct and undertake competitive and independent research, create and lead research groups as required and in compliance with the laws governing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; the standards adopted by the Ministry of Health; and accrediting and regulatory bodies such as Joint Commission for the Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO); Centers for Disease Control (CDC); National Institutes of Health (NIH); World Health Organization (WHO); Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA); National Fire Protection (NFA); Nuclear Regulation Commission (NRC); and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). 8. Coordinate and is responsible for the activities in the assigned areas of specialty withim the field of medical biotechnology; as well as the general training programs for younger scientists. These duties involve the organization and supervision of research education, workshops, conferences and topical meetings.
