Main areas of responsibility: 1. Responsible for providing intellectual property management services when it comes to protection and commercial exploitation of intellectual property developed by MNGHA inventors. 2. Responsible for managing all communication from the beginning phase of receiving Disclosure Forms through the finishing registration of patents, and commercialization. 3. Work with Immediate Supervisor on minimizing the inventors' time spent in patent submission, prosecution & analysis. - Participate in finalizing the preparation of patent application by leveraging ITTMO resources and staff. - Prepare, file and screen innovator's Disclosure Form submitted to ITTMO and ensure complete patent applications. - Provide expertise to innovators with drafting and re-drafting new patent applications based on legal advisor's feedback. - Conduct innovation searches and prepare reports on the results. - Coordinate with the outside counsel on drafting and prosecution of new and pending patent and trademark applications and related filings. - Maintain the attorney appointments and due date calendars, ensuring that all dates are met. - Provide expertise in enhancing the efficiency in drafting new patent applications by monitoring the timeframe and reporting delay from legal consular. - Maintain a docketing and filing system for ITTMO capturing all tracking activities related to deadlines and due dates and fees. - Calculate, prepare and submit payment requests. - Conduct review and revision of pending provisional patent applications. - Ensure that the database in properly updated and the tracking in logged - Provide periodic reports concerning the status and direction of intellectual property including patents, trademark and commercialization. - Participate in identifying potential receptors/investors to commercially exploit the intellectual property. 4. Manage internal and external relationships and communications with key stakeholders.
