Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor Degree in Occupational Health and Safety/Security Services or a related field - Essential Work Experience: One (1) years working experience in fire protection and structural firefighting – Preferred English Language Level: Level – I – [ STEP: 75% or more, IELTS: 5 or more, TOEFL:(PBT: 466 or more) (IBT: 51 or more) ] - Essential Other Requirements: Valid Saudi Driving License – Essential Certification in National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) – Preferred

Job Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth Fire Prevention inspections, reporting on deficiencies and code violations in regard to fire hazards, electrical wiring, overloading circuits, storage of flammable materials, disposal of flammable waste, storage, and housekeeping. • Inspect to ensure compliance with all relevant National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Codes and standards or equivalent standards. • Conduct functional tests and inspections on Fire Detection and Alarm Systems, Fixed Fire Suppression System, and portable fire extinguishers to ensure that the standards are met and maintained. • Inspect areas that handle and use Hot work appliances to ensure compliance with laws, codes, and regulations and issue Hot Work Permits for departments that are found to be in compliance • Arrange for replacing defective firefighting equipment and the repair of fire alarm and sprinkler systems. Carry out safety instructions to utilize various equipment such as liquefied petroleum installations, storage containers, and transportation and delivery systems for compliance with fire laws. • Inspect construction works to ensure that fire safety is not compromised and that standards are maintained or improved. • Produce detailed reports of fire inspections performed with any faults or code violations observed and corrective recommendations offered or any necessary additional work required. • Conducts fire code compliance and inspections follow-ups to ensure the corrective actions have been implemented in the cases where violations were and rectify faults observed/reported by staff outside the Fire Protection Services department. • Review and submit single-line drawings to all areas indicating the following: fire evacuation routes, fire defense installations, blueprints, and plans for new or remodeled buildings to ensure the structures meet fire safety codes. • Assess the need for Fire Alarm Zone isolation, or isolation of individual detectors, as needed, to reduce the occurrence of false fire alarms. • Performs other job related duties as required.
