Education : Bachelor Degree in Accounting or a related field – Essential Work Experience: Two (2) years of experience in Accounting – Essential Other Requirements : Certified Public Accountant (CPA) – Preferred English Language skills: IELTS: 5, STEP: 75, or TOEFL: (PBT: 466) (IBT: 51)
Handles research approved budgets; expense analysis; periodic invoicing; financial recording; project budget modifications and grant close-out process. Monitors research funding and expenditures ensuring appropriate use of funds. Maintains and implements the research projects financial and procurement internal control systems. Identifies and recommends cost savings initiatives for research grant activities. Prepares monthly/quarterly financial research grant related reports including expenditure reports. Performs weekly research grants accountant reconciliations; and responsible for grant allocation analysis Monitors the research grants budgets variances and propose possible solutions to PIs and high management. Ensures that KAIMRC disbursement and research grants agreements and contract files are audit ready at all times. Pinpoint and recommend the best stakeholders commensurate with the needs of KAIMRC labs and projects. Performs other job related duties as required.
