Job Requirements

Education: Doctorate Degree (Ph.D.) in Health related science – Essential Medical Microbiology (virology/bacteriology) | Immunology | BSL3 - Preferred Experience: Two (2) years of experience after PhD – Essential Other Requirements: Contributions to the literature as a principal investigator or co-investigator of the research work – Essential English Language skills: IELTS: 5, STEP: 75, or TOEFL: (PBT: 466) (IBT: 51)

Job Responsibilities

Principal Duties: - Assists Senior Research Scientists in designing and administrating clinical trials. - Performs various procedures using established laboratory techniques on both manual and automated equipment under the supervision of Senior Scientist. - Helps evaluate gathered data and monitor the procedures to assure that the methodology complies with the professional protocol. - Conducts hands-on, active lab research and initiate an independent research project in advanced medical/clinical research with the minimal supervision and direction of the Senior Scientist. - Evaluate scientific/ medical diagnostics, pathologists' research applications received from KAIMRC division or those interested in reviewing and improving the quality of their research proposals. - Undertake methodologies of proven path evidence and functions as a Principle Investigator and representative of KAIMRC in the release of high impact scientific publications. - Responsible for the activities in the assigned areas of specialty within the field of Medical Biotechnology, including the organization and supervision of research education, workshops, conferences, and topical meetings. - Represents KAIMRC research work at national and international conferences. - Trains junior Researchers and Technologists on new research platform, equipment and technologies. - Promotes teamwork, communications and sharing of information among projects in the domain of expertise. - Performs other job related duties as required.
