- English Language Level : IELTS: 6, STEP: 75, or TOEFL: (PBT: 500) (IBT: 61) - Education : Bachelor degree in Biomedical or Electrical Engineering - Essential - Work Experience : Three (3) years of experience in medical equipment maintenance - Essential - Other Requirements : Certification as a Biomedical Technician (CBET)- Preferred
• Assists and performs incoming inspection, installation and commissioning of all incoming technology equipment in the university complex. Establishes a PPM procedure and schedule, in consultation with the Director/ Manager / Supervisor. • Assists and performs PPM following the approved PPM procedures and demand service repair schedule on all technology equipment in the university complex. • Records and completes the necessary documentation, manually and in the Equipment Database, of all maintenance activities including PPM, repair, incoming inspection and modification. • Assists and conducts quality assurance rounds in area of responsibility as assigned to assess equipment safety and function and to discuss with users any issues of mutual concern to minimize hazard risks associated with technology equipment use. • Operates specialized test equipment in troubleshooting, calibrating and maintaining technology equipment. • Coordinates, oversees and works with vendor's service representatives on new equipment installations and equipment warranty, demand and full service contracts. • Provides recommendations as required on the safe and proper use of medical equipment to university staff and other training settings. • Assists in the in-service training program on use of equipment / devices. • Ensures that "assigned" & "pooled" tools / test instruments are well maintained and stored properly. • Performs other job related duties as required.
