Education : Diploma Degree – Essential Work Experience : One (1) year of experience in operations of telecommunication system — Preferred English Language Level : Level – II – Essential IELTS: 3, STEP: 50, or TOEFL: (PBT: 400-465) (IBT: 32)
Principle Duties: Operates a multi-line and technology complex telephone console; alerting systems from other agencies; to receive and respond to a variety of emergency and non-emergency services and complaints. Interacts with the public and others in the work unit to resolve a wide variety of customer inquiries or complaints through the use of an automated call distribution or electronic services system. Analyzes and anticipates the effect of situations in order to provide requested information, or refer callers. Translates information to appropriate codes; determines and assigns level of priority and enters data to a reporting system for dispatch. Responds to telephone inquiries from the public and University employees with tact and professionalism. Monitors and responds to a variety of technical systems and alarms. Maintains strict confidentiality of all materials and information. Attends all drills, training, and meetings, as required. Performs other job-related duties as required.
