Job Requirements

Education : Diploma Degree – Essential Work Experience : One (1) year of experience in operations of telecommunication system — Preferred English Language Level : Level – II – Essential IELTS: 3, STEP: 50, or TOEFL: (PBT: 400-465) (IBT: 32)

Job Responsibilities

Principle Duties: Operates a multi-line and technology complex telephone console; alerting systems from other agencies; to receive and respond to a variety of emergency and non-emergency services and complaints.  Interacts with the public and others in the work unit to resolve a wide variety of customer inquiries or complaints through the use of an automated call distribution or electronic services system.  Analyzes and anticipates the effect of situations in order to provide requested information, or refer callers.  Translates information to appropriate codes; determines and assigns level of priority and enters data to a reporting system for dispatch.  Responds to telephone inquiries from the public and University employees with tact and professionalism.  Monitors and responds to a variety of technical systems and alarms.  Maintains strict confidentiality of all materials and information.  Attends all drills, training, and meetings, as required.  Performs other job-related duties as required.
