Job Requirements

Education : Master Degree in Bioinformatics – Essential Experience: One (1) year of experience in bioinformatics – Preferred English Language skills: IELTS: 5, STEP: 75, or TOEFL: (PBT: 466) (IBT: 51)

Job Responsibilities

- Develops, modifies and creates end-to-end bioinformatics pipelines to accelerate routine bioinformatics analysis such as differential gene expression, RNA sequencing analysis, whole genome, whole exome analysis, and others as applicable in the area of assignment. - Develops and maintains all necessary bioinformatics analysis in line with the standard operating procedures to ensure the quality of the bioinformatics analysis conducted within the department. - Works with scientists within the department to execute primary and secondary bioinformatics analysis of biological data collected for the execution of department diagnostic/clinical services or research projects, as applicable. - Develops and reviews technical reports summarizing the findings of bioinformatics analysis results and the methodology of research projects within the department. - Provides technical input to the research proposals lead by scientists; methodology section; development of figures; and supplemental materials of manuscripts and technical reports produced in the department. - Stays abreast with the new development of biological databases and new analysis pipelines through periodic review of the scientific literature. - Archives all project documents, datasets, algorithms, and analyses reports on the department knowledge sharing platform. - Actively participate in bioinformatics conferences/scientific events and technical bioinformatics groups, as applicable. - Provides training and educational sessions for subordinates and colleagues, as applicable. - Performs other job related duties as required.
