Job Responsibilities

Principal Duties:  Manages maintenance issues and deals with staff, end users and all levels of management, daily and as needed.  Well-timed response to Help Desk service requests related to assigned areas and to emergency situations.  Prepares cost estimates, timelines and downtime estimates for assigned work. Ensures cost effective employee performance in the work completed.  Prepares plan, schedule, budget and interim reports as required.  Provides reports and data relevant to safety & energy saving and participate on the job training as required.  Defines and operates a comprehensive Planned Preventive Maintenance System (PPM) which will identify all PPM work that is required in the area of responsibility and ensure that the work is actually being done as described.  Analyzes and evaluates installations/equipment in existing building/facilities to identify deficiencies and makes proposals for correction.  Oversees operation of quality control system within the area of specialty and Building Management System (BMS) within the area of specialty.  In coordination with the Technical Library, ensures completeness of all records and updates drawings, specifications, and other documents for the campus’ buildings, equipment and systems.  Performs other job related duties as required.
