Job Description
Principal Duties:
• Provides technical advice, leadership, problem solving, support and supervision to structural/civil maintenance staff by applying engineering principles, tools and skills, daily or as required
• Defines and evaluates requirements for construction of building structures, and facilities, such as (roads, irrigation projects, pipelines, water and sewage systems), structural plans, and other project documentations services to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and KSAU-HS requirements in accordance with standards, codes, policies and procedures (IPP and APP).
• Defines and operates a comprehensive Planned Preventive Maintenance System (PPM) that will identify all required PPM work.
• Establishes an approved structural monitoring protocol.
• Maintains organized building files and ensures completeness of all records and updates drawings, specifications and other documents for the campus’ buildings, equipment and systems in coordination with the Technical Library. And to ensure the procurement of required materials and equipment to meet organizational needs.
• Manages Stakeholders engagement to collect the requirements for any proposed project and produces feasibility studies taking into consideration the impact on the environment, organization, community, and people.
• Lead a team of Engineers/Architects to design all Engineering/Architectural requirements in order to develop a complete tender document that includes the scope of work, technical specifications, bill of quantities, and drawings within budget limitations, where the proposed projects can be intended for modifications, alterations, adaptations or new constructions.
• Performs technical evaluation on the bids submitted by contractors and ensures work is executed and completed as designed.
• Keeps track of assigned projects and ensures completeness of all records and documents.
• Performs other job related duties as required.
