Radiology Specialist (سعودة/إحلال)

• Set-up and operate equipment to perform diagnostic examinations/procedures according to departmental protocols and report all equipment faults and errors to the immediate supervisor. Select the proper equipment, accessories, and techniques to obtain the highest image quality.
• Performs diagnostic procedures for all patients as requested and ensure availability of images with required information in the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) and the Radiology Information System (RIS) immediately after completing the procedure according to departmental protocols and standards.
• Participates in the implementation of the departmental strategic plan. Provide assistance in organizing, monitoring, coordinating, and representing the provision of Diagnostic X-Ray services and developing the policies, procedures and protocols within the area of assignment.
• Responsible for safe handling of equipment and related accessories. Follow established Radiation Protection measures for themselves, patients, other staff and the population in general. Follow safety orders precisely and conform to regulations concerning the use of radiation.
• Informs patients and/or relatives as to the nature of the procedure to be performed. Ensure correct patient identification and site verification checks are undertaken for each examination.
• Ensures that new staff receives proper level of training and orientation for the department and the specific workplace.
• Represents the department by attending relevant committees as delegated. Provide a first level of problem solving and support for work related issues. Ensure scheduled work is completed before signing out.
• Performs other job-related duties.
