Job Description
• Ensures that the printing process is conducted to meet the customer’s requirements i.e. final draft standards.
• Sets up printing press feeder system to size jobs, inspects and registers plates, checks and ensures that Allparts of the printing press are operating properly and makes the necessary adjustments to ensure satisfactory quality.
• Operates all machines i.e. both single-color and multi-color.
• Mixes inks, matches colors, adjusts ink fountain and water solution flow to maintain the proper colors and balance between colors and ensures that all printing developer and color mixing are processed correctly.
• Instructs and assists in the appropriate personnel with regard to methods to achieve maximum accuracy, efficiency and understanding.
• Maintains appropriate and efficient standards for all finishing requirements such as cutting, lamination, folding, punching, stapling, and dispatching.
• Takes the product through the final stages of the printing process, meeting all the necessary requirements.
• Ensures the efficient use paper and supplies.
• Tracks modification performed to the finished label inventory.
• Ensures that the printing machines and worksite are cleaned on a daily basis.
• Performs other job-related duties as required.
