Job Description
• Ensures the safe storage and protection of all inventory items in their assigned area, promptly reporting any damaged, defective, or irregular shipments.
• Ensures the efficient management of dated and perishable products, optimizing space utilization, and maintaining a clean, organized warehouse free from hazards.
• Updates the stock locator system to reflect changes in stock levels or space requirements, and maintain an organized stock rotation plan to minimize waste and ensure product availability.
• Maintains safe and environmentally friendly storage conditions, especially for sensitive or flammable items, by keeping the warehouse clean, organized, and free from hazards at all times.
• Supervises staff in the operation of mechanical handling equipment, as well as safety protocols, proper lifting techniques, and warehouse best practices. Ensure all employees comply with safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Coordinates and participate in year-end and periodic physical stock inventories.
• Performs routine inventory checks to ensure alignment between actual stock levels and inventory records, investigating and addressing discrepancies.
• Collaborates in optimizing warehouse layout for effective storage and easy access to items.
• Implements international best practices for space utilization, stock handling, and workflow efficiency.
• Ensures accurate documenting of all warehouse activities, including inventory movements, damages, and receipts, and promptly reporting any major issues, such as safety concerns or equipment.
• Performs other job-related duties as required.
