• Coordinate services such as patient admission, transfer of internal and external patients for procedures including testing or treatment, and patient discharge from clinics/wards for assigned areas. • Ensure proper clinical/patient beds booking for emergency and follow-up patients. Services may include: a) Greet patients and address queries and requests through the phone, fax and /or email. b) Request patient's records; organize registration, subsequent appointments and admission of patients; screen and refer patients to appropriate specialty and confirm patient attendance for scheduled appointment. c) Coordinate effectively with the medical staff for missed clinic appointments, follow-up, consultations, initiate investigations and facilitate remedial action for successful resolution. d) Collect and process required forms; coordinate follow-up appointments and preparation for patient discharge from the hospital. • Perform supervisory duties for assigned departmental staff ranging from scheduling, assigning work, recruitment, selection, performance review, discipline, to training and development. • Receive communications from patients and their families and coordinate actions with the concerned medical staff. • Perform other job related duties.
