Job Responsibilities

• Participate in the pre-production, planning and development of the creative and technical aspects of the project. Study, review and edit scripts; familiarize with production concepts and requirements. • Monitor pre-production, production and post-production processes ensuring accurate completion of all details. • Coordinate activities of assigned writers, artists, photographers, broadcast technicians, audiovisual technicians and other personnel throughout the design and production process. • Secure copyrights and related approvals for non-MNGHA produced materials to prevent copyright infringement. • Organize shooting schedules and refer schedule conflicts to immediate supervisor for resolution. Handle all scheduling and logistics of the filming. Ensure staff and contractors understand the requirements of the production and are on sight on time. • Troubleshoot issues with filming, modify or change scripts, and add additional aspects to the filming to enhance the production, if necessary. • Cut shot sequences to different angles at specific points in scenes, making each individual cut as fluid and seamless as possible. • Edit films and videotapes to insert music, dialogue, and sound effects, to arrange films into sequences, and to correct errors, using editing equipment. • Select and combine the most effective shots of each scene to form a logical and smooth running story. • Recommend new and existing equipment and systems ensuring quality support in producing informational and educational media. Assist with providing technical expertise to contractors, media staff and hospital staff on equipment purchases and installation. • Keep up-to-date on most recent computer software for installation. Instruct employees on use of updated software. • Coordinate and schedule the daily work of production support staff. Train less experienced staff on the setup and operation of equipment.
