Job Requirements

Requirments : 1- Essential high school education required. 2- Minimum Four (4) Years of experience with one (1) year supervisory experiance as fully paid member of a fire department. If Locally hired with high school diploma and trained in-house, and assessed by senior officer to be competent, Two (2) years of experiance as firefighter is adequate. 3-Preferred knowledge of fire ground tactics, smoke venting,fixed extinguishing units,ladder trucks,fire commenads, fire pre-planning precedures, forcible entry methods, detailed knowledge of pumper units and rescue devices. 4-Must hold professional qualifications as firefighter, mab be acquired though the in-house or extended training programs, if locally hired. 5-beneficial working knowldge of the NFPA codes and standards or equivalent standards is required. 6-Must be physically fit to withstand the rigors of fire fighting as medically determind by physical examination. 7-basic knowldge of CPR training required. 8-Essential valid saudi driving license.

Job Responsibilities

Duties : 1- Acts as shift commander for a shift in his absence. 2- Under the direction of the shift commander,ensures that personnel and equipment are in a state of operational readiness at all times during assigned tour of duty. 3-with shift commander, conducts or taken part in the training and drill program to maintain and improve the standards of efficiency in the department. 4-Assists in establishing and maintaining the training and inspection schedules formulated by the deputy chief, training officer and the fire inspector. 5- Ensures that tests inspections and maintenance of equipment are performed as required by the schedules. 6- prepares written reports as required. 7- Assigned personnel to inspection duties as required. 8- Ensures that shift peronnel maintain skills to a professional standard. 9- Works rotating shifts, as required. 10- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
