Job Requirements

- English Language skills: IELTS: 6, STEP: 75, or TOEFL: (PBT: 500) (IBT: 61) Education: High School Degree with Certificate of Training in Fire Prevention or other relevant training courses or equivalent such as NFPA or Fire Prevention & Safety Management from an accredited fire engineering school or academy, or a comprehensive in-house training in combination with relevant ranking- Essential Work Experience: For High School with relevant certificate: Minimum of 6 (six) years' position-related practical experience- Essential For Diploma degree holder: Minimum of 3 (three ) years' position-related practical experience- Essential Competencies: Knowledge of National Fire Protection Association/JCI codes and standards or equivalent standards including structural firefighting experience- Essential Basic CPR Training- Essential Ability to write concise, factual reports and produce single line drawings as required - Essential Licensure: Valid Saudi Driving License- Essential Arabic Language: Preferred Computer Skills: Level - II - Essential

Job Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth Fire Prevention inspections, reporting on deficiencies and code violations in regard to fire hazards, electrical wiring, overloading circuits, storage of flammable materials, disposal of flammable waste, storage and housekeeping. Conduct inspection to ensure compliance with all relevant National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Codes and standards or equivalent standards. Conduct functional tests and inspections on the following: Fire Detection and Alarm Systems, Fixed Fire Suppression Systems and on portable fire extinguishers to ensure that the standards are met and maintained. Inspect areas that handle and use Hot Work appliances ~o ensure compliance with laws, codes and regulations and issue Hot Work Permits to departments that are found to be in compliance. Arrange for the replacement of defective firefighting equipment and for the repair of fire alarm and sprinkler systems. Carry out safety instructions in the utilization of various equipment such as liquefied petroleum installations, storage containers, and transportation and delivery systems for compliance with fire laws. Carry out inspection of constructions works to ensure that fire safety is not compromised, and that standards are maintained or improved. Produce detailed reports of fire inspections performed with any faults or code violations observed and corrective recommendations offered or any necessary additional work required. Conduct fire code compliance follow-ups to ensure the corrective actions have been implemented in the cases where violations were found. Conduct follow up inspections to rectify faults observed/reported by staff which are outside of the Fire Protection Services department. Carry out a "Quality Assurance" function by conducting spot inspections to ensure that the relevant National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Codes and standards or equivalent standards are maintained.
