Job Requirements

Education: Associate Degree in Technical Support or related discipline- Essential Work Experience: Minimum of Five (5) years' experience in a related field - Essential English Language Skills: Level- l - Essential ( IELTS: 6, STEP: 75, or TOEFL: (PBT: 500) (IBT: 61) ) Arabic Language Skills: Preferred Computer Skills Level: Level- l - Essential.

Job Responsibilities

. Ensures that all technical equipment setup/operation for any University function has been processed and successfully completed. . Ensures that documentation and essential feedback for equipment, provided service, incident, and utilization reports are submitted and up-to-dare as well as monitor inventory of equipment/ devices/supplies. • Analyzes equipment/devices/supplies inventory reports to determine demand . • Designs effective orientation sessions performed for users on how to best use the equipment, ensuring that students, staff and faculty follow the technical policies and procedures. • Oversees that technical support staff tests, fine-tunes, calibrates and cleans technical equipment on a scheduled basis with the surety of completion of the replacement/repair of malfunctioned equipment and materials. • Provides technical support for service requests by using manuals to diagnose and make repairs, identifying problems, seeking solutions and helping the end user in use of technology. • Actively explores new software, equipment and updates and advises higher management in d1anges appropriate for the needs of the University. • Oversees the installation and maintenance of all software and other Personal Computer based applications. Ensures that technical support staff adhere to all prescribed safety procedures (Anti-virus, Deep Freeze, Symantec, power related issues etc.). • Provides ted1nical expertise to contractors and other parties as needed. Assures the coordination and scheduling of day-to-day support. • Ensures that technical support staff adhere and comply with departmental regulations and operating procedures. • Develops and enhances efficiency of technical support services, and ensures that all operating procedures are in compliance with the departmental policies and procedures • Performs other job related d u ties as assigned .
