Job Requirements

IELTS: 6, STEP: 75, or TOEFL: (PBT: 500) (IBT: 61) Education: Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Health and Safety/Environmental studies from an accredited Engineering College or University including Health and Safety/Environmental studies- E Certified Safety Professional (Minimum NEBOSH) or equivalent certification - E Work Experience: Ten (10) years of experience in maintenance engineering or related occupation E Experience in providing training in a University I College or Healthcare organization- P General knowledge of international engineering regulations, standards and codes of practices related to construction and maintenance- P IELTS: 6, STEP: 75, or TOEFL: 500

Job Responsibilities

• Develops a comprehensive Technical Affairs Safety Plan for all KSAU-HS regions; coordinates and leads the implementation and "roll out" of the plan to meet agreed schedules that includes an Induction Program on safety. • Monitors the efficacy and appropriateness of the Safety Plan, and conducts scheduled/unscheduled audits on the job observations and inspection. • Provides regular updates and reports of status for all aspects of the Division Safety Plan. • Establishes and maintains in agreement with the General Director budget items for safety activities. • Develops an incident reporting system and statistical records with benchmarks and industry standard targets for the comparison modeling. Monitors and ensures compliance to documentation of reportable incidents regardless of degree of severity. • Develops and assists the Engineers in the development of appropriate policies and procedures applicable to engineering activities to be fully compliant with best safety guidelines. • Provides day-to-day safety advice and training support and coordinates closely with all Technical Affairs management and staff to build the knowledge base and evaluate the best safety practices and training. • Presents, recommends and initiates training requirements and programs (as contained in the Safety Plan Manual) related to all Technical Affairs Departments Safety, Environment and Health at Work to meet the KSAU HS mission in concert with the Training Engineer plans. • Submits recommendations for review and approval of appropriate improvements to training methods and materials and the overall safety plan. • Prepares professional safety training programs in suitable teaching medium and conducts the programs to the agreed schedule for Managers, Engineers, Technicians and Clerical support staff to ensure the approved Safety Plan is effectively implemented. • Researches and recommends selection of outside consultants for safety activities for all approved specialist safety activity.
